BAU World Building Exhibition will take place online

The German construction trade fair BAU takes place in Munich every two years. It is an event where construction professionals can get acquainted with the latest materials and solutions used in the industry. This is one of the most important events in the construction industry around the world, and in 2019 the Futurista team attended BAU and Long Night of Architecture. However, this year, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the event will be held online. From 13 to 15 January, exhibitors will broadcast their product presentations on the Internet and conduct virtual presentations. According to one of the exhibition organizers, the transfer of the meeting to the Internet is a necessary measure. However, it is impossible to completely abandon the planned event since the interest in market novelties and professional advice demand is large. Moreover, all the main participants have already confirmed their presence at the next exhibition.

This time, the meeting will bring up several main topics. The conference participants will discuss such topical issues as the use of recyclable materials and climate change. There will also be meetings on using the latest digital technology and robotics and the future of housing. The situation in the world with the Covid-19 pandemic will not be ignored either. During the exhibition, participants will discuss the pandemic's impact on the construction industry on a global scale. All discussions will be broadcast live. During online presentations, many brands will present their products. First of all, these will be various building materials used in the construction of real estate objects, and which, naturally, Futurista will offer to use in their projects. The exhibitors will also be able to get acquainted with the software and hardware used during construction work, energy supply, and security systems.

The last two exhibitions, which took place in Munich, had record figures in the entire half-century history of BAU. Each of them was attended by a quarter of a million visitors, and delegations from some countries numbered several thousand people.
